POSITION; PROJECT ASSISTANT -SOCIAL CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT (1):
Duty Station: - Igunga, Tabora Region
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Assistant in Social Capital ,Development is responsible for the implementation and management of
Project activities related to the livelihoods components of Heifer International
Projects in Tanzania including technical input in social development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.
•    Follow-up the implementation of group budget in accordance with approved budgetary line
•    Facilitate the procurement of project inputs-supplies in accordance with approved Heifer policies and procedures.
•    Recommend budget adjustments based on field realities within approved budget. '
•    Carry out capacity needs assessment and plans to address Identified capacity needs
•    Coordinate delivery of different trainings to the community

•    Implement the budgetary guidelines and financial routines and other compliance for the project under his/her responsibility
•    In collaboration with the Accountant, manages project funds and implements financial controls.
•    Facilitate community based participatory planning process for projects development and community capacity building
•    Actively' involve other, relevant staff members in planning and implementation of Project/projects activities.
•    Identify and support the creative potential of communities to develop strategies and approaches for quality project Intervention and implementation for more impact
•    Facilitate access to and effective use of appropriate tools to develop social capital
•    Carryout regular monitoring of social related issues within the projects.
•    Facilitate and promote collaboration between Heifer Tanzania and Local Government Authorities in the Project cluster. .
•    Facilitate and promote collaboration between Heifer Tanzania and other development agencies (NGOS, and CBOs etc) in the Project area
•    Strengthen effective communication from the project committees, farmer groups to the Project level and vice versa.
•    Demonstrate and practice team working spirit among staff, farmers and other project partners.

Qualification Experience and Competences.
•    Minimum Diploma Community Development,
•    Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Rural Sociology/Anthropology, Gender studies and Community Development.
•    A minimum of five (5) years' experience primarily working in at community based development activities.
•    Abllity to plan and ensure the implementation of projects, management and report on resources effectively.
•    Ability to travel within the country and possibly internationally.
•    Able to cope with the demand of duties which might require extra hours of working
•    Managing and executing multiple tasks .

POSITION; PROJECT ASSISTANT-AGRICULTURE (1):
Duty Station: . Igunga, Tabora Region

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Officer- Agriculture Production is responsible for providing strategic and technical support regarding the Implementation of all field operations relating to good crop 'husbandry, production and natural resources carrying out field capacity building to stakeholders, organize groups for input supplies (vet -agro inputs) and writing of project progress reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
•    Facilitate access to production inputs-supplies in accordance with the project guidelines
•    Facilitate and coordinate procurement freighting and distribution of seeds/seedlings in a accordance with policies and procedure
•    Facilitate the access to crop production inputs supplies in accordance with approved Heifer policies and procedures.
•    Prepare work plans in accordance with approved budgets and recommend project budget adjustments based on field realities within approved budget
•    Ensure compliance with project management and financial guidelines
•    Prepare result oriented annual work plans and budgets taking into consideration recommendations from internal and external reviews and evaluations.
•    Provide strategic technical assistance on issues pertaining to appropriate crop husbandry
•    Facilitate the integration of all aspects of crop/livestock production in the project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation phases,
•    Guide in the choice of appropriate improved husbandry technologies
•    Facilitate and coordinate trainings in all aspects of crop production.
•    Facilitate effective and efficient delivery of all extension packages.
•    Prepare and submit progress reports on Project and project activities
•    Monitoring the implementation approved project work plans
•    Promote best practice examples among farmers
•    Facilitate and promote collaboration between Heifer Tanzania and other development agencies (NGOS, CO AND CBOs etc.) in the Project area

Qualification, Experience and Competences

•    Preferred, Bachelor of Science Degree in (Agriculture) or Agronomy. Agricultural Extensions or Agricultural Economics

POSITION; PROJECT ASSISTANT - PROJECT ASSISTANT - NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (1):
Duty Station: -Igunga, Tabora Region
The Natural Resource Management Project Officer is charged with providing strategic and technical support to the implementation of the Fish Farming and Community Natural Resource Management activities in the project communities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Promote fish farming and natural resource management strategies in project communities
•    Assist to improve reporting and monitoring standard at the zone and project level
•    Provide effective planning and monitoring systems while maintaining a community focused approach
•    Coordinate natural resource management training courses to farmer groups, project supervisors and District project staff.
•    Ensure the project maintains accurate records of original and pass-ons in fish farming bee-keeping and NRM project.
•    Work closely with Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to insure processes and outputs are useful for publishing communications, and advocacy purposes
•    Assume all other legitimate duties as are required and as time permits, which are connected to the projects, which will be assigned from time to time by Project Manager.
•    Prepare project reports on natural resource management related activities
•    Facilitate and coordinate the community in preparation and implementation of Natural Resource Management plans . .

Qualification, Experience and Competences

POSITION; Administrative And Finance Assistant (1):
Duty Station: - Igunga, Tabora Region

The ideal candidate should have at least Diploma in Office Management
Administration and demonstrated experience in administrative positions.
He/she should have a working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet applications, emaiT and internet software, (Microsoft preferred), proficiency in English and Kiswahili language skills.Experience in working in busy non-profit organizations will be an added advantage.
Working under overall guidance of the Project Manager and Project Account, the Administrative and Finance Assistant will facilitate the smooth flowing of routine administrative work and Project support operations, manage the front office desk and facilitate telephone and other communication transfers as well as to give administrative support to staff at Eco village project office.
The Administrative and Finance Assistant will facilitate the adherence to administrative, IT, HR and logistics procedures and staff policies by support of staff Office maintenance. Ensure the office and compound is clean and maintained at a routine schedule.
Selection criteria

POSITION; PROJECT DRIVER:-( 1); DUTY STATION: - IGUNGA, TABORA REGION

The ideal candidate for the position should have Vehicle Management certificate and at least five (5) years of experience in Driving I Mechanic, a valid drivers' license and extensive driving experience. He/she should be a mature person and have basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics. Must be a team player and capable of working with minimum supervision .The driver take charge of overall day-to-day vehicle management in accordance with the vehicle use and maintenance policies and procedures. Consult and get approvals from Project Manager and Project Team leaders on all vehicle maintenance and repairs before actual work is carried out.
Selection criteria
•    Requisite academic and professional qualifications especially from National Institute of Transport ( NIT) or any recognized Driving institution.
•    Requisite valid, clean driving licenses and minimum experience

B. East Africa Dairy Development (EAPD II)

POSITION; SENIOR DAIRY PRODUCTION ADVISOR (1); DUTY STATION: - NJOMBE

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of Bachelor in the fields Animal and Veterinary sciences. Holders of Masters in Animal, Veterinary and Agricultural sciences: arid Rural Development will be highly considered. He/she should have experience with the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) projects I programs and Understanding of the Dairy Value Chain will be an added advantage.

Under the supervision of Senior Dairy Production Specialists, the Senior Dairy Production Advisor will facilitate and coordinate the planning and implementation of all project activities including mobilizing dairy farmers into groups to build the technical and organizational capacity of dairy farmers and Dairy Farmers' Business Association or Cooperatives on improved dairy husbandry, breeding (with emphasis on Artificial Insemination), feeds and feeding systems in order to increase milk production and productivity. In collaboration with the cluster team [composed of Business, Feeds, Breeding and Production Advisors), the Senior Dairy Production Advisor will facilitate linkages of Dairy Farmers'
Business Association or Cooperatives with Service Providers and other key actors in the Private and Public Sectors. Senior Dairy Production Advisor will assume the leadership roles in the Cluster (i.e. Cluster Team Leader). As a Cluster Team Leader, the Senior Dairy Production Advisor will be responsible for compilation and packaging project implementation and other reports on production components and cluster, prior to submission Senior Dairy Production Specialist-cum- Operations Manager.
To achieve the duties effectively and, the Senior Dairy Production Advisor will collaborate with both private and public sectors development partners . along the Dairy Value Chain in their area of operations (cluster).
Selection criteria for this position will include but not limited to;
Technical competencies and knowledge:
•    Requisite academic and professional qualifications
•    Knowledge and experience in dairy value chain, agriculture, economic development animal husbandry and community development

POSITION; SENIOR FINANCE ASSISTANT (1); Duty Station: - Mbeya
The ideal candidate should have at least Higher Diploma in Office
Management Administration and extensive experience In administrative positions. He/she should have a working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet applications, email and internet software,
Microsoft preferred), proficiency in English and. Kiswahili language skills.
Experience In working In busy non-profit organizations Will be an added advantage.
Working under overall guidance of the Country Project Manager and Project Account, the Administrative and Finance Assistant will facilitate the smooth flowing of routine, administrative work and program support operations, manage the front office desk and facilitate telephone and other communication transfers as well as to give administrative support to staff at EADD office.
The Administrative and Finance Assistant will facilitate the adherence to administrative, IT). HR and logistics procedures and staff policies by support of staff. ;:,/he will also coordinate and provide guidance to the Administrative and Finance Assistants in the Cluster offices; and ensure the overall smooth running of the following office operations; reception of visitors; photocopies and mail services, telephones and faxes, daily supervision guard and cleaners and office maintenance. Ensure the office and compound is clean and maintained at a routine schedule.

Selection criteria
•    Requisite academic and professional qualifications
•    Demonstrated written and spoken proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
•    Proven experiences with executive assistance
•    Proven experience at supervisory level
