Post title: Manager - Financial Planning, Analysis & Management Reporting Duty station: Geneva Purpose of the post: Perform a principal role in budgeting and management reporting.
Act, for the Secretariat’s budget, as the Finance focal point with GAVI teams.

Key results expected: • Deliver the Board approved Business Plan budget, and regular financial updated estimates.
• Develop and maintain a timely, high quality and effective management reporting “solution” that aids the decision making process.
• Positive feedback from senior management and other clients on individual’s and FPA Team’s performance.

Main duties/ Responsibilities: Overall • Support, and serve as a back up to the Head FPA, for the integrated budgeting process and management information & reporting.
• Improve, develop and implement systems-based solutions to support the process and then manage the process regularly.

Systems • Use various financial management systems (Clarity, AX, ReQlogic, Atlas reports, Data Warehouse). • Business administrator role for "Clarity”
• Budget master file creation (F/S and cost center detail, etc.) and upload into AX, ReQlogic and the DataWarehouse.
• Report creation, maintenance, and programming in order to push data into and to pull data from system(s).

Business Planning • Consolidate all inputs into the GAVI Alliance business plan budget and support its review and approval by GAVI leadership and Boards. • Support the preparation of annual and multi-year Business Plan budgets in line with Strategic goals and objectives. • Support the drafting of budget documents for both Board and GAVI committee meetings as needed.

Monitoring • Support the Head FPA in fostering a budget and control culture in the organization and monitor budget implementation (in collaboration with Procurement and HR). Raise and address issues as they arise. • Inform resource allocation decisions in GAVI through the development and maintenance of Secretariat expenditure forecasts. • Support the monitoring, in coordination with other GAVI staff (in particular PMU), of GAVI partners’ Business Plan budgetary implementation and reporting, to defined deadlines. • Provide analysis on ad hoc (financial) topics as requested by senior management, the GAVI Board and related committees.

Management Reporting • Internal reporting to senior management, including variance analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as well as headcount reporting • Assure that senior management has necessary access to budget performance data.

Qualifications: Academic: • CPA or equivalent an advantage. • University degree / diploma in Finance or any related field.
Work experience: • Minimum 5 years of related financial experience preferably in a US GAAP or IFRS environments,
• with at least 3 years of budgeting, financial analysis and management reporting.

Skills/competencies: • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX or a brand-name ERP considered an asset;
• Experience working with a Business Intelligence software (e.g. Clarity) considered an asset; • Excellent computer skills, in particular with modelling within Microsoft Excel; • Experience in analytics and data mining, and reporting of results. Attention to detail critical; • Able to successfully interact at all organizational levels; • Able to collaborate in an international environment;
• Team player, yet equally able to work autonomously; • Integrity and principles-based work ethics; • Organized, thorough, detail oriented; • Potential to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain focus on priorities; • Good knowledge of institutional or organization policies, systems and procedures; • Tact and discretion; • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Languages: • Written and spoken Fluency in English. • French is an asset.
