The School of Education at UWS graduates around 1,100 undergraduate, Masters and doctoral students each year, works very closely and successfully with educational systems and industry, and is recognised as a leading university school in Education. We are looking to appoint new academic staff to permanent at a time when we are sharpening our teacher education programs to reflect best future practice in education.

We are seeking committed and talented teachers and researchers who understand key contemporary issues and have a feeling for necessary quality improvements and likely future directions in education. You may be an outstanding teacher and early career researcher, or you may already be developing on a strong research track. You will have an earned doctorate, preferably in a field in, or related to, Education.

We are interested in you if you are optimistic about education and young people, believe that universities can add value to their communities, and can assist our students and academic teams to lead thinking on contemporary and future educational issues, practices and outcomes. In turn, we will provide you with a stimulating, team-driven research and teaching environment within which to grow as an academic educator.

This permanent academic position will be considered at Academic Level B (Lecturer).

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $96,915 to $114,361 p.a. (comprising Salary $81,894 to $86,703 p.a., 17% Superannuation, and Leave Loading)

There will be a 5% Salary increase effective from mid May 2012.
