Salary: £40,724 per annum national (with more for an exceptional candidate) /£37,724 per annum for expatriate staff (with more for an exceptional candidate) with benefits including accommodation, relocation package, annual flight back home and medical insurance cover

Based: Osh, with frequent travel inside Kyrgyzstan and some international travel

We are looking for a Russian-speaking Training Advisor to join Alert’s Programme in Kyrgyzstan in order to develop training on peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity. As Training Advisor, you will be responsible for developing a series of ‘Train the Trainer’ modules for trainers in Kyrgyzstan. You will liaise with other organisations to identify potential trainers and train local community actors so they can act as mediators to solve local disputes by mediating and negotiating in target communities. Additionally, you will conduct training aimed at influencing the policies, plans and behaviours of governmental institutions and officials, donor organisations, international and local NGOs and local communities. You will provide support to the Country Manager with communications, fundraising and organisational development tasks.

With a relevant degree and excellent training skills, you will have a proven ability to train effectively in Russian and English. You are a creative individual with an aptitude for finding original ways to influence thinking using training and learning methodologies in order to deliver training courses to a variety of audiences.
