International Placements Coordinator

Alongside Restless Development’s programmatic work in Africa and Asia, Restless Development’s International Programmes Unit is working with young people in the Global North, international decision makers and youth-led and youth-focused organisations worldwide to increase the scope and impact of Restless Development’s work.

The International Programmes Unit has an exciting 3 year strategy in place with ambitious objectives focusing on: youth engagement, advocacy and campaigning, capacity building and international placements. The unit is committed to expanding its youth engagement work in the coming years to inspire, empower and support more groups and young people to take action. We are also working to increase our influence on key institutions to change policy and practice around young people, youth participation, sexual reproductive health and livelihoods.

As an integral arm of the Unit, Restless Development’s ‘International Placements’ provide a range of opportunities for individuals to engage in international development through volunteering on our programmes overseas including: entry level field based placements, structured research placements, private sector and sector based technical placements.

Restless Development aims to be the global banner carrier for youth-led development – demonstrating at the grassroots and policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development.

Building on Restless Development’s successful track record, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a talented Trustee Board in providing overall governance to a growing and ambitious global organisation.
