Grants and Operations Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES IntraHealth International, Inc. is currently accepting expressions of interest from potential Grants and Operations Manager candidates interested in IntraHealth’s submission for the upcoming USAID-funded Global HRSA project in Chapel Hill, NC. The Grants and Operations Manager ensures that the project has the strong and appropriate financial, procurement, HR and administration systems needed to achieve its objectives. S/he is responsible for appropriate staffing and HR management, budgeting, financial tracking, and subagreement management. S/he also contributes to the development of project work plans and reports, as appropriate. The Grants and Operations Manager oversees the work of a Program Specialist and reports to the Project Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Manage the core operational functions for the project related to finances, human resources management, procurement and administration, with the support of the relevant headquarters departments as needed.
• Manage project sub agreements, including ensuring clear scopes of work, appropriate grant agreements, financial and progress reviews, communications with grantees, and grant modifications as needed.
• Lead in preparing project budgets and projections and tracking funds flow and expenditures. • Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the donor. • Support the Project team in preparing annual work plans, progress reports and other project deliverables. • Work closely with the Project Director to ensure needed operational support for the project, including serving as a link to headquarters services (e.g., organizing team meetings, managing staffing and level of effort, documentation and communications support)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or other relevant area • Five years of experience in managing public health or development programs, for US Government funded projects • Proven experience budgeting and financial reporting • Experience working with subagreements • Strong oral and written English communications skills • Ability to work collaboratively and in teams, including with individuals from other cultures • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
