Digital ELT Manager, Kenya

Based Nairobi

Salary: £30,915 per annum plus benefits (including free accommodation, pension provision and medical insurance)

Contract: Two year fixed term contract

Digital English development is a key element of the British Council’s strategy in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). We have made a start with the Learn English SMS product in Sudan and Nigeria, and with Teach English Radio and Learn English Radio in several countries. However we know there is more demand for our digital English products as well as face to face training.

Using existing Global English products, and those in the pipeline, we are now looking to broaden and deepen our digital portfolio in the region. The post holder will work as part of the regional and global English team in increasing our ELT reach and impact in SSA through digital engagement

You will have: A track record in ELT, some of which must be in the state sector, experience of teacher training (in a non native speaking context). Experience of E-learning in ELT and a PGCE in TEFL or RSA, UCLES, Trinity College, London or other equivalent diploma in TEFLA/DELTA plus minimum 3 years’ full-time experience post TEFL-Q.
