Consultant - Food Security

We worked in 87 countries, implementing long-term programmes to fight poverty, responding to humanitarian emergencies, and advocating for policy change to improve the lives of the poorest people.
CARE International UK’s (CIUK’s) work on food security focuses specifically on programmes that build resilience to prevent food crises. We are seeking a Consultant with experience in food security programming available to commence as soon as possible. The Consultant will support the management of a large food security project with significant value. The Consultant will support the Project team in financial and narrative reporting against this project as well as additional project management activities. The Consultant will work with the CARE Bangladesh Country Office to carry out key tasks with specified outputs.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in food security programmes with a good understanding of key issues around risk and vulnerability reduction and livelihoods. S/he will be a self-starter with significant project management experience. The Consultant will have high quality monitoring and evaluation, reporting, communication, budgeting and team working skills. The candidate will hold a degree in a relevant subject and preferably postgraduate studies or relevant field experience. S/he will have experience of project cycle management of EU-funded projects.
