Communications Manager - Zambia

To provide leadership and support to the NO Communications and Marketing team to ensure a fully functional, well-focused and high-value performing function for quality service delivery, contributing to child well being.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage the production and provision of high quality information resources and materials for donor and public engagement.
    • Ensure engagement of local and international media on WVZ developmental programs to ensure promotion and protection of its public image and ministry.
    • Collaborate with advocacy colleagues to define key issues, messaging, and communications channels and tools for public advocacy initiatives.
    • Manage the dissemination of internal and strategic information within NO and the WV Partnership.
    • Manage communication’s emergency response and position WVZ as a responsive relief agency.
    • Develop and implement a communications strategy for effective structuring, staffing and performance management.
    • Develop and implement marketing initiatives designed to increase the organization’s capacities to engage corporate donors and generate resources for its ministry priorities.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
      REQUIRED:
    • Degree in Mass Communication or Journalism.

      PREFERRED:
    • 5 years experience in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing.
