Classical Arabic Literature

The Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations is searching for applications in Classical Arabic Literature where the applicant is expected to teach course in all genres of Arabic poetry and prose. The candidate should have relevant teaching experience at university level. Successful candidates will teach three courses per semester at the undergraduate, graduate and Core Curriculum levels.

Requirements:

PhD by September 2012 is required
The applicant’s PhD should be in Classical Arabic Literature. Preference will be given to candidates with an MA in Arabic literature.

Tenure track position
