Blasting Hole Driller United States-Nevada-Goldstrike
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: Blast hole drilling of mine production patterns using the equipment listed below; including related tasks of transportation of equipment with the lowboy, drilling/sampling for assays and other duties as assigned under the direct supervision of the supervisor(s) or the lead person. Safe operation and care of equipment. Occasional assistance with blasting activities. RC drilling as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Ability to receive Federal explosives user/possessor permission required.
• Valid Nevada drivers’ license required.
• 5 plus years of blasthole/RC drilling experience in a mine production setting preferred.
• Rotary blasthole drilling experience on DM-45E, DMM-2, Atlas Copco Pit Viper (PV271 drills preferred.
• RC Drilling experience preferred required.
• Heavy equipment operating experience on 685W low-boy preferred.
• Heavy equipment operating experience on Cat 834 G/H, 854G, and 992G preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or verbal instruction required.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD plotting, e-mail, etc.) preferred.
• Demonstrable ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
• Satisfactory safety, environmental, performance, and attendance records required.
