The Asian Development Bank’s Office of Risk Management (ORM) independently identifies, measures, monitors and manages ADB’s credit, market, and operational risks with responsibilities that include: credit risk assessment, credit portfolio monitoring, workout and recovery, policy and systems, operational risk, and market and treasury risk.

ORM seeks risk professionals for the following areas:

1. Credit Risk Assessment: Analyzes the risk of all new nonsovereign debt, guarantee, and equity transactions. Conducts risk assessments and related due diligence to evaluate risk areas and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including input for the terms and conditions of new transactions.

2. Country Risk: Responsible for developing and implementing methodology for assessing sovereign creditworthiness as well as associated industry and sector risk analysis. This position will be in the policy and systems team which develops policies, models, analytics, and IT systems for the risk management of ADB’s portfolio.

The credit risk assessment team is seeking outstanding individuals with a proven track record in risk management and investment appraisal. Experience in the credit risk management of project finance, energy and utility finance, cash-flow based lending, financial institutions in emerging markets, trade finance and/or direct/indirect equity investments including investments in private equity funds are desirable.

Candidates for the country risk position will be outstanding individuals with solid understanding and experience in both quantitative and qualitative methods for sovereign risk analysis; and deep analytical capacity including extensive experience with analytical tools.

Candidates should have:

· At least eight years professional experience performing related work in several countries.

· Quantitative graduate degree or equivalent (finance, business, engineering or science).
